1. The service

Bluffkollen helps you judge whether an online shop, a website or a message may be a scam. The service consists of this website, its website and image checks, and the Bluffkollen browser extension. The extension is in beta: features may change, and activation keys may expire or be revoked.

2. Results are guidance, not guarantees

• Most results are produced automatically from signals such as the age of the domain, the contact details a site publishes and technical checks. Labels like "promising" or "suspicious" are automated indications, not a judgement about the business behind the site.
• Where a site has been reviewed by Bluffkollen, the result reflects our assessment at the time of the review. Websites change, and a review can become outdated.
• No result can guarantee that a site is safe or that it is a scam. Always use your own judgement before you buy something or share personal or payment details.

3. Liability

The service is free and provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, Bluffkollen is not liable for losses resulting from decisions you make based on our results, for example a purchase from a site we did not flag. This does not limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

4. If a result about your website is wrong

If you run a website and think our result about it is wrong or out of date, please contact us with the address of the site. We will look into it and correct the result if it is wrong.

5. Fair use

When you use Bluffkollen, you agree not to:

• query the service automatically or in bulk, or copy its results into another service;
• share your activation key with others — it is personal to you;
• try to disrupt the service or get around its limits;
• upload images you are not allowed to share, or that contain sensitive information about other people.

We may revoke activation keys or limit access if these terms are broken.

6. Data sources

Our results build on information from several sources, listed on our data sources page. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.

7. Changes

We may update these terms, for example when we add features. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Swedish law applies to these terms.
