Missed Call Scam
Last updated
Your phone rings once from a foreign number, and then they hang up. The scammers hope you'll call back. The number goes to an expensive premium-rate service, and the longer you stay on the call, the more money goes to the scammers. The scam is sometimes called wangiri, Japanese for "one ring".
